Contact Form: "View in Dashboard" and "Mark as Spam" Links Are Now Included in Notification Emails and Disrupts Replying #45532

Impacted plugin

Jetpack

Quick summary

After recently updating Jetpack to 15.1.1 I noticed Contact Form email notifications now include the following:

  1. A "View in Dashboard" button.
  2. A "Mark as Spam" link.

This is an inconvenience for me because when I reply to these emails I have to remember to delete these links before sending the reply since showing links to a Wordpress dashboard in a email reply is not ideal. It looks like this feature was requested back in 2019 (#13403) and was closed with the "Won't fix" tag. I actually agree with the explanation provided in #13403 but if the feature is appreciated by some it would be great to get be able to turn it off in settings.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use Jetpack Contact Forms.
  2. In the notification email see that there are links to the Wordpress dashboard included in the email.
  3. When replying to the email these links must be deleted manually before sending the reply.
