ADU is needed on the same Ubuntu LTS as the IoT Hub / IoT Edge for product releases (currently 24.04 LTS)

Hi,

Once again sincere thanks for resolving several issues and the new https://github.com/Azure/iot-hub-device-update/releases/tag/1.2.0 . However, we (and the rest of the IoT Hub stack), have been on LTS 24.02 for a while now. We cannot realistically release a product on 22.04. The ADU is the only component that is holding us back on that release ... and 22.04 will soon be no longer supported by the Azure IoT Hub stack, so we can't push it into the field. As such, this is urgent from the perspective of realistic product releases.

Greetings! Also very interested in 24.04 support to align with iot-edge capabilities.
Emerging products would benefit from using latest LTS instead of using 22.04 which is next to fall off of the list of iot-edge supported versions. We are currently stuck with awkward choice of older distro or ADU support.

Any roadmap/ETA info on the matter would be very much appreciated!

Any progress or updates on this misalignment between iot hub's supported platforms and this project's supported platforms?

I've been wondering about the same thing. Microsoft recommends that they be used together, but they don't seem to share the same roadmap, which leaves users between a rock and a hard place.
