Version 2.0.2.2 Final Releae

I just have a quick question: the actual 2.0.2.2 release is named "Preparing final release of V2.0.2.2".
Is this already the final release, or will the final release be rolled out in a few days?

All firmware ZIP files for version 2.0.2.2 are located in the folder "TonexController_V2.0.2.2_Waveshare_Zero".

I think these firmware ZIP files shouldn't actually be stored there, but one folder level higher.

Hi, not sure if it's something I am doing wrong, but the name for the Custom Bluetooth controller doesn't get stored (in this case 'AIRSTEP' for the airstep multi controller) in v2.0.2.2

EDIT: Following further tests, I think it may be the case that the field is reset in the web browser each time you access it - the existing value is not read from the controller.

The value IS stored on the controller, but each time you access the web GUI for the controller, the field doesn't get populated by the stored value, and is reset to unassigned/blank. Therefore so when you make a change to the controller from the web GUI and save, it clears the stored BT custom controller name on the controller back to unassigned/blank. Hope that makes sense.

Hi, I have tried v2.0.2.2 on both a Devkit-C N16R8 and JC3248W, with a GP-5. I am using 10 external footswitches. Preset changes work using the 2x5B or 1x5B. However, when I set the FX1-FX5 to control individual FX it does not work fully. What I mean is that, when I try to turn on, for example, the noise gate using a footswitch, it does not work, but if I turn it on from the webconfig or the screen of the JC3248W and then try the footswitch, it works, but not again after that. What I have noticed is that it does not work from the default state of the preset, but if I change the state of an FX and then use the footswitch that I assigned to it, it works one time. I don't know if I am setting it wrong, though. The Tonex One works fine.

Waveshare 1.69 no touch display sometimes freezes, but still responds to midi. This happens when using it with the web editor. Mostly when switching presets.

Also had some problems saving the wifi settings, especially the power settings won't save.

Did not have the above issues in prior release.

Used the new web firmware tool and also did a full erase.

Thanks for the report. I read it and planned to investigate. Then was coding something else and stumbled onto why its broken. I'm looking at the wrong parameter bank in the effect footswitch handler.
I'll get it fixed.

I have some ideas on why the display might freeze. I had some similar issues on the 3.5" platforms recently, they were running out of a special type of memory (DMA capable) that it needed for the display updates, and the display stopped updating while the rest worked as normal.
The WiFi part does some extra ram allocation so that would make sense.

I am a bit behind of features and fixes at the moment but I will try to get this fixed soon.

You could avoid using the web UI, or perhaps roll back to an older version.

Had band rehearsel last night and all went well. No screen freezes when not using the web UI.
