Suggestion: submenus on home page

I think it could be useful to have submenus. So rather than clicking "Firefox" on the home screen, you could create a submenu called "Browsers", which lists Chrome, Duck Duck Go, and Firefox. That is just an example. The user would need to:

• create the text submenu
• add one or more application names to the submenu
• add the submenu to the list of home page text shortcuts

No. It has some similarity, but that is a more complex request. What I am suggesting would have four parts:

1. In the config screen, the user can "Create launcher group". The group would have a name (for example, "Shopping").
2. In the config screen, the user can "Add app to launcher group". For example, the user could add the "Amazon" and "Ebay" apps to the "Shopping" group.
3. Once a launcher group has been created, and at least one app has been added to it, the user may add the launcher group to the home screen. The user would long-press in the list of available "launcher groups" would be listed in a separate section in the list (perhaps at the top, in a section under the "RENAME" text).
4. When the user clicks the name of the launcher group ("Shopping"), a pop-up menu appears. The pop-up menu looks just like the other app names on the home screen, but with a small border ("Amazon", "Ebay", etc.).

oh I could defiantly look into something like that but at the moment i'm working on something like #327 in #374 i'm going to accept that which adds 4 new gestures then all work on multiple home screens that can be scrolled though. that may be enough to satisfy your need?

1. I am not able to make any gestures work. They are configured. Nothing happens.
2. How does one change "pages"?
3. I think adding expanded gestures is a good idea. Many people seem to like gestures.
4. The expanded gestures do not really fulfill the same purpose as sub-menus, in my opinion.
5. I would like to know more about "pages".

You have to set the gestures to change pages here is an example.

I know I need to work on the long press gesture distance required as sometimes they trigger on normal swipes so the distance is too short :)
