Ordering not persisting after refresh with version 2.5.11

After the recent update (2.5.11) we noticed that reordering posts will not persist after a page refresh (meaning, we can reorder posts, but when refreshing the the webpage the new ordering will revert to the previous order). We downgraded to the previous version (2.5.10) and the problem went away.

Any ideas as to why this would happen? Looking at the diff (which albeit isn't much), there is a conditional that looks to see if is_search() is true - and I'm wondering if the way that we organize posts ends up with this conditional resolving to a boolean that leads to reordering failing to complete successfully? Anyway, curious if anyone has any ideas on this!
