Date is not empty/null/undefined if no date was selected

Describe the issue

When not selecting any date and then using myDateObj.viewDate then I get the current date + time.
I would expect to have null, undefined or empty string. Otherwise I do not know if user has selected something or not.

I found that there is an indicator if value is set: "mypicker.optionsStore.unset"
If "unset" is "true" then NO user selected date is available. Otherwise it is set to "false".

I would expect if "mypicker.optionsStore.unset" is "true" then "viewDate" should return "undefined" or "null".
In my opinion the current behaviour is not logical and misleading.
