How to disable BOM for UTF-8 files by default?

I have UTF-8 as default codepage.
Each time I save new file for first time I need to press Shift+F2 and de-select "Add signature (BOM)" checkbox instead of simply pressing F2 without any additional dialogs.
Modern tools doesn't understand BOM. You might argue, that JSON with BOM is valid, but most of JSON parsing libraries doesn't think so. Same with MarkDown, XML, Kotlin source code, shell scripts, cmd files, etc, etc, etc.
I cannot find option for BOM in Editor Settings, and I cannot google hidden/registry setting for it (but google becomes notoriously bad).

2. Locate Editor.AddUnicodeBOM and press Enter on it to set to false

I had exactly the same problem some time ago. Somebody here kindly suggested this solution. Great! Thank you.

There is still the question of discoverability. Maybe it's time to expose this option somewhere in the UI?
