Pointer Offset in iPad Safari

When I load dev.graphite.rs on my iPad Safari, start a new canvas and then select the paintbrush tool, drawing is broken. That is, wherever I drag my finger, the drawing will be done about 1/4 of the screen up and 1/4 of the screen left of where I drag my finger.

iPadOS 18.5, doesn't appear to be a separate Safari version. Looks like the latest is 18.6, updating now 👍

Separate bug maybe, or maybe the bug is just general iOS functioning: If I click the "Custom Color" button up top and drag on the canvas, the canvas transitions to "The document cannot render in its current state." I see a "node graph type error within this node" on the Brush node.

Can you reproduce that custom color related bug on desktop? And can you post a video of the issue, either on desktop (if possible) or from the iPad?

Hi. I am experiencing the pointer offset issue on Linux Mint with Firefox 143.0 on https://editor.graphite.rs/.

With the freehand tool, if I start drawing with some initial velocity, it will start at some offset and jump to where my cursor actually is, leaving a straight line.

If I instead click and hold with the freehand tool, and then start moving (that is, with no initial velocity), this behaviour is prevented.

The line tool is always affected. It always creates a line at some offset from my cursor, and the end point of the line is always at the same relative offset from my cursor.

Not shown in the demo video is the text tool, which is also affected and prints text at the same offset.

The following tools are not affected:

• Pen tool
• Spline tool
• Shape tool (with default options)
• Ellipse tool

I have not done more testing, but I can assist further if needed. Just heading to work :)

@MaddyUnderStars the issue you are describing is actually just #3180. Can you please comment in there with your findings about the other tools it affects also?
