Given that the primary aim of CasaOS and Zimaboard is to engage more home users by providing them with easy control and access to their data and network, why should we limit ourselves to just being a Docker manager and an app store? We could introduce modules for various popular packages and dependencies, based on user preferences. These modules could be made available either on a website or as part of the app store, allowing users to customize their all-in-one GUI experience according to their activities and configurations. This approach would also enhance resource efficiency, as users could add only the modules they need to CasaOS, which could be running on a headless Debian.
The process of adding these modules, especially for well-known packages and software, could be quite straightforward. For example, we could introduce a module for QEMU configuration, enabling even inexperienced end-users to utilize such software and adjust all the settings.
These modules would offer a simple and user-friendly GUI for the most applicable settings and configurations of each software and package, which are typically challenging to work with via CLI.
By adopting this approach, we could expand the use cases for CasaOS and gradually evolve it into a single GUI management center that meets the needs of every home user and even advanced users.
