Hard to tell when an annotator/module needs to be updated

It's easy to miss annotators or modules that require updates to work correctly. There is an "Update" button on the store tiles, but unless I spend alot of time in the store, I am missing the updates. And older versions of annotators stop working correctly, Ideas?
