System Information

Linux Mint 22.2 Cinnamon Intel© Core™ i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz × 4 NVIDIA Corporation TU104 [GeForce RTX 2060] Display server: X11

LMMS Version(s)

1.3.0-alpha.1.878+fbac56f

Most Recent Working Version

any version before 1.3.0-alpha.1.878+fbac56f

Bug Summary

Ive had this since only the newer versions/recently it started happening

Everytime i go into the settings, which can happen a lot because i am not on the best current setup in terms of space, LMMS decides to kick out my headphones.

It leaves the monitor audio which i don't use intact.

After this the Headphones either only work when re-plugging into the computer after closing LMMS or dont work at all anymore and a restart is needed.

Maybe the task of opening settings overloads the audio driver for only the headphones or something? i have no idea

Expected Behaviour

Dont mess with audio things when i go into the settings, only actually change audio specific things once those settings start to be messed with.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Buy a cheap External HDD with 2tb from Toshiba
  2. connect it to the USB 3.0 port
  3. Open LMMS over an app image from a different drive with all relevant data, working directory etc. stored on the External HDD
  4. Go to Edit>Settings with Headphones connected to the mic Aux port of your PC
  5. cry because the audio is gone
