Automatically mount instance storage on AWS G instances

200GB fast NVMe storage is available on g4dn.2xlarge, but its not mounted automatically..

I tried to manually mount and edit the docker compose file but everything just stopped working (??)

Can you describe the steps you used ?

it would be indeed great to mount these temporary disks by default.

It's working fine now.

These commands just worked without any change on g4dn:

$ sudo mkfs -t xfs /dev/nvme1n1
$ sudo mkdir /data
$ sudo mount /dev/nvme1n1 /data

On the docker-compose I just added a new binding "/data:/data"
