Does this extension work with remote SSH ?

Trying to use this with code that is accessed using the remoteSSH extension, looks like a no go...
Is that supported? If yes - how?

This extension is pretty simple; all the code is here: https://github.com/RandomEngy/VSCodeGitDiffAndMergeTool/blob/master/src/extension.ts . It just uses simple-git to run some commands.

I've never tested it with the remoteSSH extension.
