Describe the bug 🐞
As the title says, DAE solve takes a lot memory. For eg in this MRE, a 65,000 unknown problem, with a 0.5 MB vector and 7 MB jacobian, it takes over 20GB of memory before exiting due to running out of memory.
The solve completes for sparser discretization, albeit still taking a lot of memory.
I also made a post on discourse about this, where I tried a few thing to eliminate memory usage like, analytical jacobian, or Krylov matrix free method for Jacobian vector solve, not saving solution, etc.
Expected behavior
I expect it to take memory of O(n).

This takes a huge amount of memory over 20 GB and then crashes due to OOM. I don't know to check memory form inside julia. Putting summarysize(Main) inside the function just slowed down everything. So here is the screenshot of memory usage from my OS.
