Support OV3660

What changes are needed to use an OV3660 camera module? The ov3660 came bundled with my xiao esp32-s3.

Hi @badandybrew,

with the build flag for the board you are only able to build the firmware for the XIAO board with OV2640 and OV5640 support (equal to the firmware which can be downloaded pre-build on GitHub releases page).

To add OV3660 support some more changes are required. Due to the fact that I do not have an OV3660 in hand, I'm not able to implement by myself. This is the reason why OV3660 is not yet supported right now.

If you're willing to perform some tests, I can provide an updated firmware with OV3660 support.

I'd appreciate if you could test the implementation

• Test image manipulation:
  • Test all available manipulations options like brightness, contrast, saturation, flip, mirror, exposure settings, gain settings, etc.
    
  • Test a maximum Manual Exposure Value of 1536 (Switch exposure control to Manual)
  • Note: Flash Time, Flash Intensity and Image Rotation is not required to be tested
• Test zoom:
  • Activate zoom with an even (e.g. 1.34) and odd (e.g. 1.35) zoom factor and check for tinted images
  • Test max zoom factor
  • Test all extreme x, y zoom positions
• Test live stream:
  • Open System > Livesstream > ...
• Test System Info:
  • Open System > Info and check for correct model type OV3660
    
• Test Logs:
  • Set log level to WARNING check for camera related warnings / errors
  • Provide a console log extract of boot process and camera imit if possible (e.g. using https://slider0007.github.io/AI-on-the-edge-device/ or any other UART logger)
• Test stability:
  • Reboot multiple times
    • With camera
    • Without camera
  • Test with Image Quality of 8 (Configuration > Section Take Image)
  • Test in real conditions (long-term)

i tried this build with a freenove ESP32 S3 and the OV3660 cam.
Test System Info:

Frequency | 10 Mhz

Test Live Stream: error. black screen instead of pic, the log:
