Compiling Issues

Hi, i am facing a media playback issue, where the videos are not being consistently played back, or sometimes the software crashes. Ive tried 4 different codecs on version 2.2, but I see that version was from 2017. I tried for the last 5 hours to manually compile the latest version with QT Creator, but I see it is not working, and others have made forks and attempted to fix this on their own. I want QT6 support because it uses ffmpeg for media playback instead of codecs so it would be much more reliable. Is there a new release / installer coming out soon?

Hi I reproduced one concrete media issue on a local Qt6 build:

• Steps: Add Media Files... -> select an mp4 -> select the file in Media tab.
• Result: preview remains on Loading... and does not enter normal playback.

Root cause found: media wiring still uses Qt5-style QMediaPlayer signal signatures in MediaWidget (videoAvailableChanged, stateChanged, error). On Qt6 these callbacks do not fire as expected (hasVideoChanged, playback-state, errorOccurred path), so UI/player state is not updated correctly : )

Well, I've been doing some tests and you can see that there's a lot of obsolete code and a lot of unused memory allocation. As well as a lot of instances of abstract classes. Function prototypes declared in the .h file but without their declarations in the .cpp files. In the case of Song.h and Song.cpp... Many memory violations.

You should remove code that is not in use because there are many things that could break the code.
