Do you plan on open-sourcing SemanticDiff?

If not, are there reason about it?

There are currently no plans to open source SemanticDiff entirely. However, we have ideas to make SemanticDiff more customisable, which may include providing an SDK or open sourcing certain components. Nevertheless, the core components containing the diffing algorithms will most likely remain proprietary.

There are two main reasons why we don't open source it:

1. SemanticDiff's development is time consuming and only viable in a commercial setting. Open sourcing our main asset would make monetisation more difficult and probably lead to fewer sales of our GitHub App.
2. The complexity of the core component is quite high. To calculate a useful diff in a few hundred milliseconds, you need various complex algorithms and custom data structures. This leads to a quite steep learning curve, which makes it less likely that anyone would contribute to this part anyways.
