Can't read system audio

I can't read the system audio for the visualizer. How did you do it in your teaser? I would like my program to act like this. Thanks!

Did you use the --device= argument? Which kind of device did you try using? As described in the --help, --device= takes a PyAudio/PortAudio device ID. You can see which ones are available for you with:

import sounddevice as sd
sd.query_devices()

I use pipewire and have found that pipewire-jack helps expose my devices to PortAudio in a more specific way. Otherwise I just have to select the "pipewire" device and hope for the best, but since that has both sinks (outputs) and sources (inputs), it's pretty ambiguous which would be used. Selecting a device with only sinks seems to work for me to play the "system audio", i.e. whatever is playing on that sink.
