I was planning to start a new project, but hadn't had time for that yet, would that be the best way to go forward? I have time to work on it between Christmas and New Year's.

new repo at https://github.com/jepcastelein/marketo-rest-python starting with my pull request. I have not reviewed other pull requests on this project yet: I will do that in the next weeks and incorporate them (if they aren't already). If you want to open a pull request on the new project, that's fine too.
