Request: Process footnotes when pasting markdown

This is 100% a feature request. I'm curious if it interests you at Buttondown.

It would be fantastic if content in the Markdown footnote syntax would be processed into footnotes in Tiptap. So something like:

Here is a simple footnote[^1]. With some additional text after it.

[^1]: My reference.

Would become a tiptap-footnotes-style footnote in the editor:

[linear]

+1 on this. Being able to take convert md footnotes into tiptap footnotes would be amazing

@mary-ext thoughts here? I feel like we supported this at some point but I remember the multiple nodes being convoluted.

(Selfishly, we use the markdown footnote syntax to store this stuff on the backend so we would indeed benefit from having it too!)
