How to change the icons in the workspace section of the bar?

I want to change the icons for different browsers in the workspace section also for the steam i get the same icon as for the browser. How do i change.

I tried

            "background": true,
            "compact": true,
            "iconSubs": [{
              "id": "steam",
              "image": "~/icons/steam.png",
              "icon": "sports_esports"
            }],
            "recolour": false
        },

but this changes the icon for tray items only. Pls guide
