As far as I can tell, the Youtube lifestream broke when Google deprecated the V2 API and was fixed in 08c3016 using someone's Heroku app. At some point recently that Heroku app stopped working too.
Here's a solution using the google's V3 data API. One complication is that you need an API key, but it's easy to obtain one here. I think it might be possible to make a few requests without a key but the limit is tiny.
