window users using duckdb 1.4.2 not able to download and install extenstions

Hi -- Window users of R are not able to download duckdb extensions using duckdb-r due to the extensions failing to download.

Is this a continuation of #1517 issue? or is this a separate issues.

Users is using duckdb version 1.4.2.

I've read the linked issue. Have you looked into the motherduck extension docs?

IIUC, the motherduck extension does not support mingw, so the issue is their side.
