Where to find tab stop settings

I couldn't find where to set the tab stops to 2 chars, the regular edit settings had this setting, but this wasn't used by the new editor.

I don't like the new way of searching, with a box per open window. It prevents me from smoothly moving from one of a split panels to another, hanging in the find window instead.

Because the new editor is based on the Generic Text Editor, you'll find this setting in Preferences --> General --> Editors --> Text Editors:

Can yo please explain which searching Do you mean? Search via Ctrl+F in the editor?

As of today it's possible to enable the on-type-formatting option via the preferences: Window --> Language Servers --> Formatter --> Enable on type formatting

When enabled the formatting from the .clang-format file is used during typing (indentation settings, ...)
