Proposal: Add Turkish (tr) localization for the React Native documentation.
TL;DR: Start with a pilot translation (e.g., Getting Started, Core Components) and expand gradually.
What is the problem?
Currently, the docs are only available in English. This creates a barrier for many Turkish developers who are new to React Native or mobile development.
How can we address it?
- Create a Turkish (tr) docs section, either in this repo or a separate repo (similar to tr.react.dev for React).
- Start with a small pilot: Getting Started + 1–2 key component pages.
- Keep English as the source of truth, with a commitment to update translations regularly.
Why is it important?
- React Native has a large Turkish developer community.
- Localized docs will lower entry barriers and increase adoption.
- Precedent: React docs already have an official Turkish community translation.
Who needs this?
- New learners and students in Turkey.
- Android/iOS devs transitioning to React Native.
- Teams adopting React Native in Turkish companies.
When should this happen (use version numbers if needed)?
There’s no dependency on specific RN versions — this can start immediately as a community-driven translation effort.
