Description

I am getting this error after I upgraded to Mac OS 26 with XCode 26 in my Bare RN 81.4 project.

I had to downgrade to XCode 16.4 to make it work.

Steps to reproduce

Install the latest xcode and run the iOS project

1. Uninstall latest Xcode
2. Download it from here https://xcodereleases.com
3. Install Xcode 16.4

You can ask an agent to do a grep and look for that library to see which pod is using it. In my case was "react-native-compressor": "^1.12.0", so I did a patch removing the import and worked

this issue is not related to react native. It comes from a package in your project that uses the ALAssetsLibrary module. To find the source of the problem, search for it in Xcode, locate the package using it, and try updating that package.

@sospedra The MAC OS 26 wont allow to open any xcode below 26.0 version, already tried that.

I am able to run the application.

I removed these libraries they are using the ALAssetsLibrary

• "react-native-blob-util": "^0.22.2",
  

• "react-native-compressor": "^1.12.0",
  

I will find an alternative for these libraries.

No other issues found, and application is running fine. No internal issue in the react native core libraries.

@mpatel-fpg - We cannot downgrade MacOS ( I think so ) - But we can download older XCode versions from apple's website.
