Project Summary
The Orbit China 2026 Nationwide Tour is a large-scale initiative to bring the latest Filecoin narratives — from Onchain Cloud, DePIN, RWA, and Data Economy — to at least eight cities across Mainland China.
This campaign will include:
• 8 regional events (Orbit City Series) in emerging tech hubs not yet reached in past two years,
• Pop-up SP & Builder meetups in high-density mining and developer clusters,
• Localized panels, workshops, and exhibitions co-hosted with community partners.
Each event will serve as a local activation point, connecting developers, SPs, and ecosystem partners to the Filecoin Foundation’s newest programs, grants, and technologies.
The project will be organized by Orbit China, the official regional representative since 2022, with proven capacity to execute large-scale Filecoin events across the region.
Impact
Over the past three years, Orbit China has led all major Filecoin offline initiatives in Mainland China — from 2022 community bootcamps to 2025’s Filecoin SP & Builder Day. However, many fast-growing regional tech clusters remain under-engaged.
This grant aims to:
• Expand the reach of Filecoin’s community presence to new cities and audiences,
• Bridge SPs, builders, and enterprises through workshops and meetups,
• Strengthen awareness of Filecoin’s current focus areas (e.g. retrieval, real data onboarding, decentralized compute),
• Foster partnerships between local universities, data centers, and Web3 startups.
Expected Impact
• 8 major events and smaller meetups delivered by Q4 2026
• 1,000+ total attendees (in-person + online)
• 30+ new ecosystem collaborations or builder entries

Total Budget Requested
Total Pre-approved Framework Budget: $50,000 USD
This grant is designed as a framework allocation, not milestone-based disbursement.
• The approved budget will serve as a 12-month operating fund, allowing the Orbit China team to propose and execute activities (city events, meetups, workshops) under a unified 2026 plan.
• Each event’s detailed plan, timeline, and spending breakdown will be submitted to the Foundation for approval prior to execution.
• Funds will be drawn from the approved total on a per-activity basis, ensuring accountability and agility.
Maintenance and Upgrade Plans
After the 2026 tour, the Orbit China team will:
• Continue quarterly SP/builder meetups in key cities,
• Develop a localized Filecoin onboarding toolkit,
• Maintain partnerships formed during the tour,
• Prepare a 2027 regional acceleration plan
