Hello community,
I have a question regarding different access to server.
My dad has a watering system in his garden. The controller is a:
ESP Rzx e rainbird 8 Stationen Outdoor. He can access this system from the internet. We didn't had to open any port in the router. Just connect it to the wlan and that's it.
So now I want to make a weatherstation with my raspberry. But if I want to reach my server on the raspberry from the internet I need to open a port.
Why is that so? The watering system ist just connect with the wlan an I can reach it from anywhere in the world and my raspberry has to had opened a port? Is there any way to make it without opening a port?
