Grouping field missing in DataPlotly Pie Chart

Describe the bug
I often create pie charts with DataPlotly. But after update i noticed, that Grouping field, which I used to group elements, is missing. So I can't group any features and can't create pie charts. My students also have this problem on their computers.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open DataPlotly plugin
2. Choose Pie Chart in Plot Type
3. See that title "Grouping field" is here but field is actually missing

• OS: [e.g. iOS] Windows 10
• QGIS release [e.g. QGIS 3.10] 3.32.2 but this problem exists also in some other new versions of QGIS
• DataPlotly release [e.g. 3.0] 4.3.1

sorry but I cannot reproduce the error:

did you try to choose another plot type and then to choose pie plot again? Maybe it's just an UI refreshing local issue

Hi @ghtmtt. I'm facing the same problem as well as my students today in class. We're using Windows, QGIS 3.40.11. Changing to another plot type and back doesn't solve the problem.

I have the same problem. Windows 10. QGIS 3.40.11.

Temporary work around:

1. Choose for example Bar Plot
2. Choose the Grouping Field for X field
3. Choose the Y Field
4. Switch to Pie Chart
   Now the field of step 2 will be used as Grouping field.

that's really really weird. I still cannot reproduce the issue. The grouping field is always shown. Trying to look deeper. Thanks @jvdkwast for the temporary workaround!
