Specify behavior for multiple trailing "\..."

Currently, only one trailing `\...` will be accepted as "match".
If pattern has multiple `\...` following each other, it is unclear what should be the outcome:
- compilation error?
- extended matching rules (additional exception)?
- silently join them together?
