I could have sworn this used to be a thing in older builds.

Yeah ferium did previously automatically add dependencies, but I didn't like a few things about it;

  1. it would do so when you add mods, instead of when you were upgrading; and
  2. it didn't resolve dependencies recursively (the dependencies of a dependency and so on were ignored)

So a few updates ago, I removed the functionality and the associated command line arguments, as the implementation was getting problematic to maintain too. I have now implemented #214 and #99, but I haven't released the new version yet.

Some mods have the wrong dependencies or dependencies that have preferred alternatives.
