Hi there,

We have a product that requires a Graph viewer toolbox such as PyGraphistry.

Is it permitted to use PyGraphistry for commercial use and sell it (without modification) as a part of our own product?
If so, then what type of username and password would the customer need to use?

• The PyGraphistry library: It is commercially-friendly OSS, so you already have permission to use and sell it without modification as part of your own product, no username/password required

• GPU viz service: You can use (a) the Graphistry Hub hosted service for GPU visualization and (b) self-host your own Graphistry gpu servers (ex: AWS Marketplace or on-prem enterprise distro). Hi there,

Appreciate your prompt answer.

At this point we may not need any GPU powered visualization. The 2D visualization should be enough for now.

My question is that, if we provide node types and importance, as well as communities (we perform clustering ourself) for the graph, will they be visualizable using the free platform? I.e., the graph having nodes with different color/size/community if we add those meta data to the graph?

The visualization, even for 2D, goes through whatever backend you pick, eg, for the interactive GPU clustering

And yes, the free tier supports both passing in your own encodings and on-the-fly

Sorry, I am bit confused with this.
It appears that I have to log it using username and password if I want use PyGraphistry.
I am following an example you provided online but it wont work unless I log it using graphistry.register(api=3, server=server, username=username, password=password).
Here is how the output looks like if I follow the code example:

    'd': ['b', 'c', 'a'],

}), 's', 'd')

g = g.settings(url_params={'play': 0})

public_url = g.plot(render=False)

After running the last line I get the following error:

...
ValueError: In api=1 / api=2 mode, API key not set explicitly in `register()` or available at GRAPHISTRY_API_KEY

But if I log in using graphistry.register(api=3, server=server, username=username, password=password) then it will work.

The visualization, even for 2D, goes through whatever backend you pick, eg, for the interactive GPU clustering

The viz always uses a server, performed at the plot() call, and would need a register() against one. The rest of pygraphistry (GFQL queries, UMAP, etc) can be run fully locally.
