Provide a brief description of the project
This project will serve as the service that will bundle up all the devpost submissions from a hackathon on devpost and expose an api for easy retrieval.
Describe the work that has already been done on the project
Scraping is done, api endpoint has been set. Fine tuning needs to be done before release, however the tedious web scraping is mostly completed.
This project was done on a twitch live stream, and has been uploaded on my personal youtube.
Describe what the project, and hackFIU stand to gain from this new project
Yet another service able to integrate into mango for admin/sponsor project viewing.
This can also server as a standalone api for other people to integrate on whichever platform they desire. This service will return a nice JSON object with the projects, easily able to integrate from any other application.
Issues
The only thing unattainable at the moment is the projects prize submissions, in other words there is still work to be done to find out what submission each project competed for.
The only way to get this information is to manually download the CSV devpost gives you. Maybe theirs another workaround?...
