Why not treat the Area's the same as labels? Why is there a cap on one? I have multiple scenes and automations that do things in multiple area's. My "living area" is one open space with three area's (kitchen, dining area and chilling area). So I have sensors that cover multiple area's and also automations and scenes that cover multiple area's.
Result is that I use labels for it now, no area's at all. But labels are getting cluttered because I also use them for other classification of items.
So then I look at categories, which is even worse then Area's. Besides that you can only choose one, you can't filter on them in the listing pages. (apparently you can filter on it in automations, but categories just don't exist in devices, which is also not very unified)
The more I look at the whole thing the more I see that is in for improvement. Because I also just noticed that in the device list you can group by floor, but in the automation list you can't? Huh? Why?
Sorry if there are other discussions about this, but the github search is not giving me any satisfying results.
