If I select a taxon node and delete it via Edit / Delete Taxa, the node disappears from the tree but the File / Save button does not become enabled so I can save the result. An asterisk does appear next to the file name in the window title bar, so it's clear that at least some part of the program is aware that the tree has been modified.
