Porting WpfDesigner to Avalonia

I'm looking into porting WpfDesigner to Avalonia.

Any suggestions on the best way to approach this?

I also thought about doing it, but never did cause of laking time and working on a designer in HTML.
I use many of the ideas here in this one, but also I did many things different. (see: https://github.com/node-projects/web-component-designer)
I created much more services wich could be replaced, so the designer is much more adjustable to your own usage.

First step, would be the XamlDom Project, I think.

I think if I would do it, I nearly would start with a fresh project instead of using this as a base.
I only would use it for ideas.
