@krlmlr Can you guys get started on this to verify that there are no problems before the 1.0 C core release?

Unassigned myself - there's nothing to do in this task for me as all that's left is to validate that the R interface still works as expected.

@krlmlr I'm assigning you to this one. It'd be good to verify that there are no serious issues for R before C/igraph 1.0 is released, as fixes would be difficult after release. I believe the risk of issues is low.
