The file is now at .circleci/packages/influxdb/fs/usr/lib/influxdb/scripts/influxd-systemd-start.sh

Otherwise, the script cannot be used with IPv6 config

Is this why, after upgrading from 1.11 to 1.12 using Red Hat RPMs, that my systemd unit file is gone and the start script at /usr/share/influxdb/scripts/influxd-systemd-start.sh is missing?

Can I ask what version of 1.11 you were on?

Also, @andrew-landsverk-win does the systemd unit file no longer exist at all? If you run cat /lib/systemd/system/influxdb.service does the file exist and if so what are the contents? What is the output of systemctl status influxdb?

Looks like our previous version was 1.11.8

Here is the requested output:

Unit influxdb.service could not be found.

@andrew-landsverk-win How are you upgrading influxdb? Also, what OS are you running? I know you're using an RPM package but are you running CentoOS, RHEL, or Rocky? I'm assuming RHEL as you indicated 'Red Hat RPMs' but I don't want to assume. If you could please run cat /etc/redhat-release, if that does not work/file doesn't exist please run cat /etc/os-release for me.

Rocky Linux release 8.10 (Green Obsidian)

We are using the official influx db repo, https://repos.influxdata.com/rhel/7/x86_64/stable/

I see that I have a 7 in there, so I need to investigate that at a minimum.

Great, I'm also using Rocky for my RPM testing today. I think I have identified a gap in our packaging when it comes specifically to Rocky Linux. I should have a PR out shortly to resolve the issue.
