Call Reset Function Outside of Modal

I am trying to figure out how to call the function which resets the selected items from outside of the modal.

I have a function in one of my controllers that is called when a button is clicked. When that button is clicked I would like to call the reset function in this libraries JS file. Any recommendations on how to do this?
