Cannot delete and change API key for embedding model

If I have previously set up Jupyter-AI to use the OpenAI interface for both the completions and embedding, nothing I can do will let me delete and change the API key. The interface keeps telling me that the API key is "in use by the embedding model" even though I have removed the embedding model entirely:

It would be better if it just let me delete/rotate the token (possibly with prompt 'are you sure' if you want a safety) even if the model were still selected. And it should certainly let me delete the token after I have un-selected the model.

The design here seems to assume that the token for a given model will never change??

@cboettig I was not able to reproduce the error. After changing the model to "None" you need to Save Changes -- then it should allow you to delete any keys. Let me know if this helps?

@srdas thanks! ok yes that worked, to update the token I needed to set all models to "none", save changes, delete the key and then add the new key.

for what it's worth, that's a bit less intuitive than other interfaces we work with (e.g. cline, continue.dev, etc) where we can click 'edit' or 'update' a key and just change the key without a separate process of first removing the models and deleting the existing key.

there's lots of reasons to want to update or change a key without wanting to delete the existing settings (like the recent security meltdown in the npm ecosystem), it would be nice to streamline this if possible?

@cboettig That's a good point -- I can see some reasons for disallowing an API key deletion if the model is active. But it is easier to delink them in others. Let's keep this open for discussion.
