Preserve comments

Hey there,

I'm working on a KDL config in the browser that I submit back to a backend API. Unfortunately comments don't seem to be preserved by this library. Is this something you could add? It would make my life a lot easier.

Hi, there's already another very good KDL parser that preserves comments and formatting: https://github.com/bgotink/kdl. Does that suit your needs?

Hm, potentially but it'll require some re-writing (I used the query() function quite extensively by this library and @bgotink/kdl doesn't seem to

That's fair, unfortunately adding preserving comments to this library is also a big rewrite. Maybe I can rewrite KQL on top of the document structure of @bgotink/kdl.

I ended up making my backend transform the kdl config to json, and then patching the config back from a json returned by the front-end. It's very ugly but it works (and preserves my/ my users comments) :D

So there's no rush implementing this. Feel free to close this issue or keep it open as a feature request
