Can a linke be added similar to redirect lora file locations instead of downloading placing lora files directly into folder

With models and files in stable diffusion, there are copies and copies of models taking up space. A master location would help in decreasing storage requirements and copies especially when it comes to reinstallation of SD webui and Comfyui, etc.. Sometimes people forget and delete altogether deleting everything. Can a script be added to additional networks so that it can check for the loras located in the master SD Webui model directory where there is a lora folder there? In Comfyui it does this referencing A1111 model locations without having to recopy the models to Comfyui directory. Thanks.
