my first problem is why i am seeing navigate link?

Your /parent parent route has an outlet, which means it will show its child on the page wherever you put the outlet. This is how nested routing works.

Every one of the nested routes is set up to show the ProblematicPage component as its view.

This means that every one of the /parent/* routes will show ProblematicPage, which includes the "navigate" link.

Could you please describe the problem, using words? When I run the app in the repo you shared, what steps am I supposed to take to produce an issue?

In your second video you are deleting the Route that handles the path /parent and then say there is a 404 for that path. Correct, you have deleted the Route that handles it. (The parent route "/parent" needs a child route "".)

I don't know what other issue you're saying. Please give enough information about the problem for someone to help you.

Correct. This is covered in the docs here. A parent route does not create a default empty child route, you need to specify it.

So if you have "/parent" and you want to end up with "/parent/one" and "/parent" you need the parent "/parent" and two children: "" and "one", not just the parent and one.

I don't mean to be stupid, but there are no paths a, b, c, or d in this example. Are you talking about from /parent/two to /parent/five?

That seems to work correctly if you use absolute (rather than relative) paths for the redirects and you spell them correctly (there was a typo with fine for five)

Your redirect path for three isn't correct. Redirecting to "" is just redirecting it to the same page. Redirect to /parent and it does what your README says it should do: it redirects to /parent then to /parent/two.
