FReq: Ligature support (?)

It's a bit unclear from the description of the format whether it can support (and if so, how it handles) the cases of ligatures in fonts, such as programming/math ligatures, decorative ligatures, dipthong ligatures, etc. I did not see specific mention in the documentation (yet), but am still digging through, so apologies if it's there already.

While decorative ligatures could be seen as unnecessary bloat, not having programming/math ligatures can limit dashboard-type uses, while not having dipthong ligatures (and related forms) can create problems rendering certain Eastern European languages (incl. Russian) accurately which can impact utility for commercial displays, etc.

If the ligature support already exists, please detail use/mgmt in rendering? If not, please consider adding?

Ligature support is not currently implemented, and I'm not really sure it will be as it adds quite a lot of complexity to what is meant to be a simple format to parse and render by microcontrollers!
