Lua-analyze and .d.luau files

First of all when people are talking about luau-analyze are they talking about the command line tool that you can build from the luau github repo? Or the luau-lsp analyze command?

I could not get luau-analyze from luau github repo to work with my .d.luau files, is that possible and if so how?

Also I was reviewing the type declarations at https://github.com/JohnnyMorganz/luau-analyze-rojo/blob/master/main.cpp and I saw methods with @checked, what does @checked mean?
