Hi everyone, I am also participating in GSoC this year and had the exact same question as @jaiswal-naman! I have been contributing to this repository (PRs #922, #954) and have a complete draft of my proposal for the project ready for review. Is there a preferred public channel for us to share these drafts and get feedback from the mentors, or should we keep everything here in GitHub Discussions? Thanks! |

Hello maintainers,
I am interested in contributing to this project as part of Google Summer of Code (GSoC) and would love to get some guidance from the maintainers before I begin.
I have the following questions:
Communication Channel: I could not find any dedicated communication channel (such as a Discord server, Slack workspace, Gitter, or mailing list) for this project. Is there an official channel where contributors and maintainers communicate? If yes, could you please share the invite link?
Guidance for GSoC: As a GSoC aspirant, I would like to connect with the maintainers to understand the project's expectations, preferred areas of contribution, and any ongoing or planned GSoC project ideas. Where is the best place to discuss this?
Raising Pull Requests (PRs): What is the recommended process for raising PRs as a new contributor? Should I first discuss the changes in an issue before opening a PR?
Issue Assignment: Is it possible to get issues assigned to me before I start working on them? If so, what is the process to request assignment of an issue?
I went through the existing discussions, README, and CONTRIBUTING guidelines but could not find clear information about a communication channel. Any help or pointers from the maintainers would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and for maintaining this project!
