no tap to click

hi, I am using the latest release of Miracle on Debian 13, I have installed both the snap package and compiled myself. Hardware is a one year old HP Zbook with dual graphics Intel/Nvidia, I think it has a Synaptics touchpad, 16 inch 4k screen etc.
My biggest problem is that tap-to-click does not work. I have just seen in the Wiki that it should be enabled by default. I just added tap-to-click to the config file but there is no change. Scrolling does work though.

It seems to be working for me on my Thnkpad T480. Here is my miracle config snipped:

touchpad:
    disable_while_typing: false
    disable_with_external_mouse: false
    acceleration_bias: 0.3
    vscroll_speed: 1
    hscroll_speed: 1
    tap_to_click: true
    click_mode: none
    scroll_mode: two_finger_scroll

Could you post yours? And maybe also provide the logs from miracle, as maybe its logging something useful there.

If anything, this would probably be a bug in Mir (or maybe even a libinput compatibility problem...)

If you run from a VT (Ctrl + Alt + F3 at the login screen), you can log in and then pipe all output to file:

miracle-wm > miracle.out 2>&1

I'm having the same issue with the touchpad config. I copied the default config from the wiki, but nothing has changed.
I have
disable_while_typing: true
tap_to_click: true
middle_mouse_button_emulation: true
but none of these are active when I check libinput list-devices
