aegis-host packages issue

Hello,
I am trying to work with aegis host and am using the instructions provided here. However, I am unable to get past yarn, specifically building new packages.
This is the error I get:

[9/13] ⠂ wasmedge-core
error /Users/usr/Documents/aegis-host/node_modules/wasmedge-core: Command failed.

Command: ./scripts/preinstall.sh
Arguments:
Directory: /Users/usr/Documents/aegis-host/node_modules/wasmedge-core

I have tried downloading wasmedge and updating the preinstall script with the right link, but it automatically changes back to the old link.

Please advise on how to resolve :)
