UI is gigantic in iOS 26, covers over half the screen

When typing in any webpage text box, the UI covers over 50% of the screen, leaving a minuscule window through which to actually see the page. There is a large bar with massive up and down buttons that obscures most of the screen. 80% of the screen is now covered by the address bar, keyboard, huge useless button bar, webpage headers, and the text box. I now have only a 2cm space to view the actual webpage body.

There does not appear to be any way to change this. Firefox is unusable.
