Netbox 3.6.2 throws AttributeError exception when uploading device type pictures

Hi ALL.

I have netbox 3.6.2 instance running on Rocky 8.8 with SELinux enabled. Essential software configuration is:

• python - 3.9.16;
• postgresql - 14.9;
• no plugins installed.

All system packages are installed from standard repositories. Netbox is updated to the last release just after it is released, no gaps between versions since 3.3.

Before update from 3.5.x to 3.6.x when device types were created, front and rear panel images were uploaded with no problems.

After updated to 3.6.2 (did not create new device types having netdox 3.6.0 and 3.6.1) i can create new device type, but when trying to upload panels images, netbox throws the next exception:

<class 'AttributeError'>

'str' object has no attribute 'delete'

Python version: 3.9.16
NetBox version: 3.6.2
Plugins: None installed

Despite exception, images appear in netbox/media/devicetype-images directory, but no data is inserted into device type record about them, so there are no issues with directories permissions. There are no corresponding records in /var/log/audit/audit.log file as well.

Running upgrade.sh script shows neither warnings, nor errors.

Could you advice the way this issue can be resolved please?

This was fixed in #13845 and will be released in v3.6.3
